As a previous business operator and serial entrepreneur, Daniel founded Mitchell Street Capital (MSC) to help entrepreneurs through the challenge of creating a liquidity event whilst ensuring the ongoing growth of the business.

Prior to founding MSC, Daniel was CEO of San Francisco based bizinsure.com, America’s first end-to-end online marketplace for small business insurance. The company grew exponentially under his leadership and a controlling stake was acquired by bizcover.com in 2016.

Daniel is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s degree in business from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Mitchell Street is the name of the street where Daniel’s grandfather’s business stood in South Africa since 1959. Daniel acquired and operated the business from 2009 to 2014, doubling revenue before ultimately selling the company to a Strategic Investor in order to attend business school at Stanford.

Earlier in his career, Daniel was a public accountant at PwC and an Investment Banker at Barclays Investment Bank.
